In this seminar, we will introduce an overview of the new Q-pole SIMS product “PHI ADEPT2” and its newly incorporated features. Focusing on new functions such as the new lens column, ICP ion source, and SmartSoft-SIMS, we will introduce improvements in analytical performance and operability, as well as applications to various material analyses, with actual measurement examples.
As an application example, we will also introduce the evaluation results of Na ions in glass using a cooling stage. Alkali ions tend to migrate during analysis and can affect measurement results. In this lecture, through a comparison of room-temperature and low-temperature measurements, we will introduce the effect of low-temperature analysis in suppressing ion migration and its effectiveness in obtaining more accurate depth profiles.
