[Overview]
We will introduce reported examples of observing SEI films formed on battery material surfaces in a frozen state using Cryo-XPS, achieving highly accurate chemical state analysis with suppressed volatilization and degradation. Focusing on reaction products that are difficult to capture with conventional XPS, we will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the key points where Cryo measurement is effective and the approach to data interpretation.
